The Bärnau-Tachov History Park: a special archaeological open-air museum
The history park invites you to travel back in time to medieval life from the 9th to 13th centuries. During your tour you will roam an early medieval Slavic village, climb an imposing tower hill castle from the 11th century and finally arrive in a high medieval settlement. The system is constantly changing, and new things are constantly being created. For example, you can look over our shoulders when we are building more houses.
Er ist ein lebendiges Mitmach-Museum, das dem Besucher auf unterhaltsame Weise ein authentisches Abbild des Mittelalters zeigt. Dabei bieten sich zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, bei Veranstaltungen, Kursen und Aktionen selbst aktiv zu werden: Ob Bogenschießen, Lehmwände bauen oder Zäune flechten –
die Vergangenheit ist zum Greifen nah.
